Sonic Drive-In is known for its delicious snacks and fun drinks. Their most popular menu item isn’t a full meal, but rather a dessert called the Sonic Blast. It is a spoonable treat that features Sonic’s vanilla soft serve ice cream with candy or cookie pieces.
There are many flavors to choose from, ranging from cheesecake to peanut fusions. But which ones are the best?
M&M’s Blast
A spoonable treat made with vanilla ice cream and mini M&M’s milk chocolate candies. It’s a sweet, simple Blast that adults and kids alike can enjoy.
The flavor combination here is cinnamon with a touch of coffee and chocolate. It’s not quite as bold as some of the other seasonal flavors, but it is pretty daring for a regular M&M to be paired with such an interesting mix of spices.
Yellow and Red work at the M&M factory and are about to go on vacation. Unfortunately, the robots have turned the factory into a mess and stolen many of the formulas. It’s up to them to stop the robots and find the formulas before they leave. This game is similar to Mario Party and has hidden developer credits.
Reese’s Blast
Sonic’s got two new desserts that take chocolate and peanut butter to the next level. You’ll want to head to your local drive-in soon to try the Reese’s Overload Blast or Reese’s Overload Waffle Cone.
The Reese’s Overload Blast is made with SONIC’s real ice cream blended with delectable bits of Reese’s treats, including Mini Reese’s Pieces and Reese’s peanut butter cups. Then, it’s topped with even more Reese’s pieces and peanut butter drizzle.
If you prefer a milkshake, you can also get the Reese’s Overload Milkshake. Both are available now for a limited time at participating Sonic locations.
Butterfinger Blast
The Butterfinger Blast is a great treat for anyone who loves candy. The dessert is a combination of vanilla soft serve with ice cream, fruit chunks, and candies. The flavors of the dessert are very well balanced, and the texture is just right. It is also very rich and satisfying.
While some people might consider Sonic Blasts to be a little too simple, the truth is that they are quite delicious. They are a great alternative to other ice creams, such as the McDonald’s McFlurry or the Dairy Queen Blizzard.
The sonic blast menu offers many different varieties of delicious desserts. Whether you’re looking for a cheesecake flavor or peanut fusion, there is something for everyone at Sonic. It is important to note that these desserts are not the healthiest option, so be careful when you order them.
Caramel Pecan Blast
Praline toasted almonds & caramel filled chocolate truffles swirled with SONIC’s creamy vanilla soft serve and topped with more praline toasted almonds & caramel truffles.
Allergy Information: Contains pecans, milk and soy. Processed in a facility that also processes peanuts, tree nuts and egg products.
The praline is quite delicious and brings out the buttery sweet tones that the brown sugar caramel base offers. The nuts are also prevalent throughout which gives you that sense of a pecan pie.
Sonic’s Master Blast line of desserts features six masterfully-mixed, Real Ice Cream-based flavors with candy additions: Cookie Dough, Triple Chocolate, Turtle Pecan, Pineapple Upside Down, Banana Split and Caramel Brownie. Master Blasts are available all day at participating SONIC drive-ins.
OREO Cookie Pieces Blast
The Oreo Big Scoop Cookie Dough Blast features SONIC’s creamy, 100% Real Ice Cream blended with edible cookie dough bites and OREO cookie pieces. The treat is topped with whipped topping and more OREO cookie pieces.
