Must-Try Beers From Our Online Craft Beer Shop

There are a lot of impressive beer styles to choose from. From IPAs with citrus and pine flavors to malty ales with rich, roasted flavor profiles, there’s something for everyone.

PBR might be a one-trick pony, but its ice-cold, forward frostiness makes it a great go-to when all you need is a cheap, easy drink. But there’s so much more to explore.

1. Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale

For four years in a row, Two Hearted Ale from Bell’s Brewery of Kalamazoo, Michigan has earned top honors as America’s Best Beer in Zymurgy magazine’s annual survey. That’s quite the achievement for a beer that wasn’t even on the scene when the first survey was conducted in 1987. Check for craft beer delivery.

The brewery buys north of half a million pounds of Centennial hops each year, and carefully manages their addition in the kettle and fermenter to create this iconic IPA that’s bursting with citrus aromas and flavors complemented by restrained bitterness and malt character. Use the brewery’s beer finder to locate a bottle or can of Two Hearted near you.

2. Cowiche Canyon Fresh Hop Ale

A portion of proceeds from this beer helps the Cowiche Canyon Conservancy. The nonprofit helps preserve and maintain the landscape of vineyards, orchards, and wild land for all to enjoy.

At a recent fresh hop tasting, our panel of industry tasters – including brewers, beer writers and distributors – found this to be one of the best. It’s an incredible example of a well-balanced, complex fresh hop pale ale.

Mounds of fresh Strata hops add a tropical fruit note and hints of lychee, with a balanced malt profile. The result is a deliciously bright, resinous hop expression that keeps you wanting more. Enjoy!

3. Moxxee Coffee Stout

Few beers complement cold winter weather as well as a thick and roasty dark stout. That’s why Birmingham’s Duck-Rabbit Brewery keeps the style in the rotation with this chocolate and coffee infused take.

West Virginia might not seem like the best place for a craft brewery to excel at big stouts, but Charleston’s Bridge Brew Works teamed with local Moxxee Coffee on this low-ABV beer that’s high in flavor and dark roasted coffee.

Vermont isn’t known for its barrel-aged offerings, but a few local breweries have risen above expectations. One of those is Amherst’s Central Waters, which packs ancho chili peppers into this rich, 12 percent-ABV stout.

4. Weathered Ground The Sour Kid

Sometimes you want a beer that has a little grit to it, and other times you just need something that’s smooth tasting. This hazy pale ale is perfect for both occasions, winning awards at the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup.

Clockwork Tangerine is a sessionable IPA that packs a citrus punch without being overpowering. It’s refreshing and mellow, with tropical fruit flavors that are smoother than a smoothie.

Unlike Rakuten Ichiba and Tavour, this website lists thousands of beers (cases, gift sets, or individual bottles). Unfortunately, you can only search in katakana, which is difficult for non-Japanese users. However, it has a large selection of beers that can be shipped to most states.

5. Burning Couch Dark Ale

While dark beer is usually a bit stronger than other styles, the taste is usually smoother and less bitter. It also carries a wide variety of rich and sweet flavors that you’ll love.

This beer is named for a mountain man who refused to turn back after being trapped in his cabin by blizzard-force winds. The beer itself is a tribute to his stubborn determination and contentment.

This is a perfect beer for those who are looking for something that’s delicious and refreshing. It features a blend of barrel-aged wild ales that are infused with hints of strawberry, straw and bursts of citrus.

6. Night Shift Whirlpool Pale Ale

This hazy New England Pale Ale is bursting eith notes of ripe peach and citrus. Named after the whirlpool brewing process, this soft and juicy brew is a refreshing and crushable sipper.

This beer pairs well with classic American foods, spicy cuisines, crunchy dishes, roasted meats, and creamy goat cheeses. You can also enjoy it with fruity desserts. It has a hazy appearance and aromas of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, hops, and peach.
