How to Delete a Snap Video You Sent

If you accidentally sent a Snapchat video, there are a few steps you can take to remove it. First, you can block the recipient. Next, you can remove it from your profile, Our Story, and Spotlight. You can also use Snapchat’s undo function.

Unsending a Snapchat message

One of the major problems of Snapchat is that it does not allow you to undo a message once it has been sent. Unlike email, you can’t roll back a snap, and if you send one that you later realize was not appropriate, you’ll have to delete it entirely to prevent it from being seen by anyone else. There are, however, a couple of ways that you can remove Snapchat data.

The first step involves opening the Snapchat application on your device. Search for the message you want to delete. You can either go to your chat or look for the message in a chronological order. Once you’ve found the message, tap on it to delete it. If you’ve sent the message in the past, it’ll still say “delivered” or “opened.” In either case, you need to delete it before the recipient sees it to prevent it from being seen by others. If you’ve sent the message in a group, you need to log out of the conversation first. This will also delete the message from your device.

Another way to delete Snapchat messages is to delete the chat itself. This will remove the messages you’ve sent, and will also delete any text messages or chat conversations you’ve started. However, this may defeat the purpose of Snapchat.

Using a screen recorder app

If you’ve accidentally deleted a snap video you sent, you can use a screen recorder app to recover the deleted content. Screen recorders allow you to capture any screen activity, and they even work on iOS devices. Just make sure to use a stable, fast internet connection.

You can even record your own screen and save it to your computer. All you need to do is install the application and run it in the background whenever you want to send a snap video. This foolproof method saves snap videos without the need for extra tools or risky hacks.

You can also use screen recorder apps on other mobile devices. However, you should note that screen recording apps cannot be initiated while you’re viewing a Snap. This is a drawback of using screen recorder apps on Android.

Blocking the recipient

Blocking a person will prevent them from seeing any snaps you send them, but it won’t delete the message. Snapchat doesn’t have an unsend button, so blocking a person won’t automatically delete the snap. This feature is only functional if the person blocked you from seeing their Snapchats.

To block someone, go to their profile and choose “Block” in the block menu. You can block someone from seeing the video you sent them. This will prevent them from seeing the message unless they open it. Blocking someone does not remove it from the person’s phone, but they can still see the unread snaps in their inbox.

If you’re not sure if blocking someone is a good idea, you can still unblock them. However, you must remember that blocking someone also removes them from your friends list. This means you can’t search for them again, or look at their chat history.

Using Snapchat’s undo function

Snapchat users may want to know how to delete snap videos before they’re opened by others. Fortunately, this feature is coming to the platform and will be available to everyone within a few weeks. The process is simple: tap on the media you want to delete, and a pop-up will appear. Tap the “Delete” button. The content will disappear from the recipient’s view, but they’ll still get a notification.

You can also edit the video before saving it to Snapchat. To do this, hold the record button on your Snapchat app for a few seconds. After you do so, you’ll see tabs to select your Camera Roll and My Eye Only. Click on the video you want to edit, and then tap Done. The edited video will be saved to your Memories, and you can also export it to Camera Roll.

The undo function is available only on Snapchat video and photo stories. This means you’ll have to wait around 20-30 seconds before you can unblock a person’s Snapchat account. This way, you can always recover the content you’ve deleted without losing your original snap.
